Mountain Lion Hunting
Russell Pond & B Bar C Outfitters has been running hounds for big cats for a few decades at this point. We offer fully guided mountain lion hunts that include all meals and lodging during your stay. Because of our excellent reputation and success rates, our fully guided lion spots are generally booked at least a year in advance. We do not do on call hunts typically, so we will have you select a date in advance. December through January of each winter we book full; please contact us for availability.

Do you own your Own Hounds? tell me about them...
We own and train all our own hounds. We have two packs of well-versed hounds while bringing younger pups along.
Is your area a quota area?
Our area has a 2-lion limit with a reduced tag price and no quota.
Do you have an exclusive outfitting area?
Yes, we do. We have no overlap in vast areas.
What kind of lion specific equipment will we use?
Russell Pond & B bar C Outfitters uses newer trucks, well maintained snowmachines, sleds, side by sides, telemetry, and Garmin powered tracking electronics.
How many days do you spend Lion hunting a year?
We spend over 3 months specifically preparing for the hunt and lion hunting.

What does a typical day look like on a lion hunt?
Your mornings begin early before the sun rises. You eat breakfast and head out to check for tracks in the snow. Depending on snow amounts, you may start in a pickup truck or a snowmobile. Your guide and you will search for a prospective track that suits what you are looking for in a lion. Then, hounds will be used to track and tree the lion, allowing for you to harvest an incredible animal.

Hunts can be reserved with a phone call, email, or text. We have guests fly into Spokane Washington typically. Lion hunts are currently $8,000.00 plus tags. Non-resident hunting licenses are $196 and lion tags $41.75 (prices are subject to change). Hunts are 5 days of hunting and a day in and out on each end for a 7-day adventure. Our excellent record and satisfied clients mean we book well in advance!
